Disciple-maker for Jesus is how Charles would likely want to be identified. He has a strong desire to see the Body of Jesus Christ grow together as disciples. He believes that man, having been made in the image of God, was made for relationship. Charles values relationship in community as a part of a Christian’s spiritual development and growth.

Charles has been a pastor since 2009. He is currently serving as Associate Pastor at Old Fort Baptist Church in Summerville, SC. He is a graduate of the College of Charleston (BA in Communication) and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity in Christian Ministry and Doctorate of Education). In addition to his work with Old Fort Baptist Church, Charles has also served as an Adjunct Professor in the Christian Studies department at Charleston Southern University since 2021.

Charles is happily married to Mary, and they have three children.

As a discipleship pastor and a doctoral student, I find myself reading a lot.  I am often asked my opinion on a good read for a particular topic.  Here is a list of recommended literary resources.

Here are a few websites of people or organizations I support.  Feel free to check these sites out and lend them your support too!

In addition to recommending resources, occassionally I will produce a book review to allow you a brief synopsis of something I have been reading.  Some reviews are academic, some vocational, some practical to all Christianity.
