The adoption of Jesus
Did you know Jesus was adopted? As we learn from the Bible, Jesus was born of a virgin. Since Jesus was born of a virgin, His mother was Mary, but Joseph was not His father. However, Joseph adopted Jesus into his family and raised Him as his own child. We even learn that Jesus followed in the trade of Joseph. One of the most important aspects of understanding that Jesus was adopted is that His being born of a virgin allowed Him to be fully human and fully God. Matthew 1:1
